Job Description:
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the management of the site, including training, planning, organizing, supervising and promoting all aspects of the VITA program.
Applicant must attend all required trainings and be able to receive IRS certification. (All equipment, supplies and materials are provided by FES Program).
This position is seasonal starting in November and ending in April.
Applicants must have reliable transportation.
Applicants must provide a police background check.
Specifically:
Work directly with the FES Program office personnel to meet annual VITA goals
Transmit and follow up on all returns until approved and accepted by the IRS
Ensure compliance with IRS rules for e-filing at the VITA site
Ensure that tax returns are transmitted daily
Aggregation and analysis of data on clients served; and other duties related to the VITA process
In conjunction with the VITA site "host" or main contact/responsible party, the Site Coordinator will implement VITA site plans and activities
Requires frequent contact by telephone, e-mail, written communication and in person with individuals inside and outside the organization requiring reasonable tact, discretion, self expression and a working knowledge of the organization
Maintain a list of all volunteers scheduled for each date and their phone numbers as well as a copy of their certification. Retention of, and communication with volunteers related to the VITA program
Ensure confidentiality at all times.
Ensure the site services provided are free (at no cost to taxpayers) for all taxpayers who qualify for assistance from the program
Conduct outreach and awareness of the program and tax credits.
Ensure that sites are open as scheduled & check to see that sufficient supplies are available
Keep all VITA site equipment safe and used solely for the program
Provide technical assistance and support for tax software & hardware
Demonstrate a strong commitment to public service
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
Strong management, organizational skills, and detail oriented
Demonstrate skill & ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, Access and Power Point
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Must be able to work flexible hours days, evenings, and Saturdays.
Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and able to work independently
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Pay Rate Determined By Level of Experience
